The CNMG120408PMG CA125P is a high-performance indexable turning insert designed for medium to heavy general turning of steel and cast iron. The CA125P CVD-coated carbide grade provides excellent wear resistance and thermal stability, while the PMG chipbreaker delivers reliable chip control at medium feeds and depths of cut. The distinctive dual-layer coating is clearly visible in the image — a black PVD top layer over a gold CVD base — combining the wear resistance of CVD with the toughness enhancement of the PVD overcoat.

Applications
